Birthday Boy and Halloween

Jase turned one in September and we had a little get together at our house. Jase had so much fun with his friends and cousins and all of the attention that he got.

Aunt Pauli was quick to point out that maybe Tigger was being inappropriate with Pooh. Taking a closer look I agree.

I thought the red would never come off, but was quite easy.

First haircut

So I have been very weiry about getting Jase's haircut, but I finally gave in and tonight we took him to get his haircut. I did not want to do it and for him to lose his "baby" look. But I was strong and he looks so cute.

Look at that dirty look.

He uses his bottom lip to his advantage.

I am such a hansome boy!!!!!

Bear Lake Baby

So last week we went to Bear Lake for a little vacation. We went and stayed in a one bedroom condo. The bedroom had a king size bed and in the living room there was a pull out bed. Outside of the living room was the outdoor pool. I was really worried about letting Brayden stay in the living room and him taking it upon himself to go out and swim (one of my biggest fears is drowning). Brayden ended up staying in the bedroom with Ryan, myself and Jase. The first night that we were there I quickly realized, with the symphony of snoring, that this was not going to work. So mommy went out into the living room. Awe quiet. We went to the beach each day and one day we rented a boat. On one of the days we went to a beach and there was a sign that read "Keep on the road or you will get stuck." It then pointed forwards to two different roads our choices were the gravel road or the beach road, which was just the beach. Ryan decided to go on the gravel road. This was the wrong choice. We got ourselves unstuck and then Ryan decided he should keep going. Wrong choice. We got stuck again. Oh my goodness. I would push on the gas and when I would stop the tires would keep going. We were completely high centered. Ryan went up to a boat rental place and they got a tractor and pulled us out. They said, "normally we charge $40, but I will just charge you $20." Little robbers. I think they made two roads just so that they could make money. But we got out and enjoyed a day at the beach.

It's a Christmas Miracle in August

So I have been totally slacking this summer and I think it is a miracle that I am actually blogging tonight. With all the running around that we have been doing by the time the boys get to bed I am exhausted. We have had a really good time this summer. Brayden is riding his bike without training wheels and thinks he is ready for a skateboard or roller-blades. He has been taking swimming lessons. He thinks he is a pro at swimming. On the way to swimming lessons a couple weeks ago he told me he wanted to go to the other pool because he already knows how to swim. In a couple of weeks we will be starting fall baseball. Jase is trying to walk. He is really good with walking around the furniture, but he is a little scared when it comes to walking on his own. He will take a few steps and then fall down. He loves to give big sloppy kisses. It is so hard to believe that he is almost one. The time is really flying by. Summer is winding down and we are very sad that the days are getting shorter. Here are some photos of the boys over the summer.

Brayden likes the little splash pool also.

Last month Brayden turned 4!!! It is so crazy to think that he is four years old. Here are a list of thinks that we love about him.

1. He has a great sense of humor.
2. He is a great big brother.
3. He loves to give hugs and kisses.
4. He loves to tell us how much he loves us.
5. He to play with his friends and is a great friend.
6. He loves to see is cousins and family members.
7. He likes to share his toys.
8. He loves to vacuum and dust.
9. He loves for mom and dad to lay with him before he goes to bed.
10. He is a great son.
When Ryan and I found out that we were pregnant with our first child we knew our life was going to change dramatically and now we could not imagine how our lives would be without him. He is so much fun and keeps us on our toes everyday. Here are some pictures of Brayden over the last four years. We love you Bubba!!

It has been a while

So summer is almost here and we are getting very anxious and busy. Brayden has started t-ball and Ryan and his friend Adam are coaching. Talk about chaos. Oh my goodness. Brayden is playing with three of his friends, Christian, Teegan, and Ripley. It is very hard for the kids not to do a huge dog pile every time the ball is hit. I think it is hilarious but there are a few parents that do not think this is too funny.

Jase is getting so big and is trying to figure out how to get around. Tonight he started to put one leg in front of the other, however, he cannot figure out how to move his hands at the same time. So he ends up with his face on the floor. Jase got crupe (spelling?) about 1 1/2 weeks ago and he has had a cough and runny nose since then. That little guy has been so sick this winter, I cannot wait for it to get warm and for him not to be sick anymore. And hopefully he does not have allergies cause I really do not want to deal with that. Jase has also got his two bottom teeth. He is learning to play with his toys and is having so much fun. There are a few nights when he sleeps through the night, but he will usually get up once a night.
Both boys also had their check-ups at the doctor and I am happy to report that Jase is smaller than Brayden. Brayden weight is still at 95% and Jase is at 65%. YAY!! Both boys are healthy and doing well. We are looking forward to Brayden leaving the three year old stage behind. Every day he is asking if it is his birthday yet. I think I am going to be hearing it all week.

Every time we get the chance we take Jase outside. He loves it. But he is not in love with wearing a hat.

Brayden is giving his dad the "I really annoyed with you dad" look. It is classic.

Daycares are good for something

So after the weekend trip to Price Jase had some chest congestion that continuously got worse in Price. I talked to our doctor's office a couple of times and then on Monday I made an appointment for Jase to come see our doctor. So we hopped in the car and went straight to the doctor. Sure enough he has RSV. Here is a quick look at our week.

Monday: diagnosed RSV, sent home to do breathing treatments

Tuesday: Stay home with Jase from work, no daycare

Wednesday: Cry all morning with dad, take him back to DR. Has ear infection and do a deep suction. A deep suction is where they put a tube down Jase's nose and get mucous out.

Wednesday night: Back at DR. for another deep suction. This DR. was very concerned and thought about putting Jase in hospital, however, since his pulse oxygen level was up he sent us home.

Thursday: Back to DR. for another deep suction.

Friday: Jase continues to cry and won't eat. Take him back to DR. do another deep suction. DR. says he is looking really good. She looks in his mouth and says I think that he is also teething.

Saturday: Things go well.

Sunday: Back for another deep suction because he will not eat again.

I think that he has finally turned the corner and he is starting to eat, which is a good sign, since he was averaging about 7 oz a day. A very sad week without our happy little Jase around.

Here is a cute picture of Brayden being a good big brother and trying to feed his brother.
